Ezicare Sheep

Ezicare sheep are bred solely for use at Ratanui our steep Hunterville property.  Our Ezicare sheep are derived from a combination of Wiltshire, Texel and Poll Dorset genetics with the intention of reducing shearing and wool maintenance costs by developing a flock that has no belly or crutch wool and is free from wool on the legs and head. 

Thus we have a strain of sheep that are shorn once a year and do not require dagging or crutching.  Our selection through SIL also aims to have a self replacing sheep that is capable of weaning two lambs, without shepherding, to killable weights.

Ezicare Rams – A few are available however, we are willing to talk to interested parties about contracted supply for all classes of stock.
